We seek a capable and highly motivated individual to join our team in an exciting and wide-ranging role as a Kelp Restoration Technician. Kelp species, which are important components of coastal marine ecosystems, are declining in British Columbia. The Kelp RESCUE Project is an exciting new initiative at the Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre (BMSC) to conduct translational research towards solutions for scalable kelp forest restoration. The ideal candidate is someone who takes a results-oriented approach to their work, can function and solve problems independently and with others, and is comfortable and careful in the lab and in the field.
