The Fall Semester is an intense, immersion, marine sciences experience at the fourth-year, senior undergraduate level. We inspire investigation, promote critical thinking and offer students the opportunity to conduct an independent research project.
Students take a full course load of five courses. Three courses run in successive 3 1/2-week blocks while two courses extend throughout the duration of the program (5 September – 15 December). Classes are scheduled from Monday to Friday, and involve lectures, discussions, laboratory, and field excursions.
Prerequisites: Students must have taken courses in Ecology and Statistics, and courses in Invertebrate Zoology and Non-Vascular Plants are highly recommended.
