Beth Rogers is BMSC’s Librarian, and has a background in both biology and education. Beth holds a B.Sc (first class honors) in zoology from UAlberta, a B.Ed. (with distinction) in secondary science from UCalgary, a M.L.I.S. from UBC, and a masters certificate in project management from the Gustavson School of Business. She has worked in libraries at four Canadian universities, taught science and biology in Alberta and BC, and worked as a data and project manager for the government of BC. Her projects include the creation of two popular biodiversity web applications: BC Species and Ecosystems Explorer, and the BMSC Biodiversity Database. Drawing on her multi-disciplinary training and experience, Beth teaches project management and creates practical and innovative ways to organize and disseminate information.
